Here's a hint on blocked kicks..... It they're easily within in distance range , set up 2-3 yards deeper on the kick. (pointed out 100 times over the years)

Lose the game at the end of the month because of same ol same ol like this game and heads need to roll.

No.... 7 yards is the depth. Any deeper, the end man would have the angle.

There is a reason why every single kicker in high school through NFL is at 7 yards.

The wingman that is a 45 degree angle off the TE in the protection is placed that way for a reason. All he has to do is get hands on the edge guy and that person will have no chance to make the turn and block the kick (as long as the snap to hold time is correct).

Which brings us to why we have given up 4 blocked kicks.... the left wingman is taking too large of a step to get hands on the edge guy which leaves a hole big enough for the defender to rush between the wingman and the TE and travel a much shorter and much more direct angle to block the kick.

Which leads us to coaching.... how this has continued to be a problem is mind boggling.

Yeah.....lets just keep doing what we're doing...... surely it will work out next time.

And here's the deal chief if the kick blocker is just barely getting there to tip the ball....he won't get there when it's 7-9 feet farther back. And just like baseball...a thrown ball is faster than someone running.

And as icing , the concern is the low trajectory of his kicks....backing up would help with that also.

Coach sure knew it started on the O Line....

And cant remember even not able to be so poor on getting 1 1/2 - 2 yards when needed. That's been football since the game was invented.
