Sorry to say, but the offense line can not run block a high school team.

Can your gamecocks block anyone that has a pulse ? I'm not talking about Charlotte and Ga. St.(didn't know they has a football team).

Yes, they can - and they can run block most college teams. You just haven't been watching with anything resembling football cognitive recognition..... :)

They're not the best in the land, but they're good enough to get us to the BCS if our secondary can be fixed.

Re: offense line / run blocking thus far

It's to be expected that our OL, with the entire right side being either new players or old players in new positions, is not going to be mistaken for the Washington Redskins "hogs" of the days when Jeff Bostic and crew were blocking for John Riggins.

But the pass pro has been gratifyingly good thus far. Count me in as a skeptic when Blake Miller got the start at RT. I was wrong ... Blake Miller is already a good (not great yet, but good) pass blocker.

Putnam has been quite good (his inexperience at Center being considered) at his new position.

Walker Parks has perhaps made the easiest transition (i.e., to RG), but has nevertheless been very good in pass pro thus far.

Like everyone else here, I'm hoping for the OL's run blocking to get better. Let's hope that the big jump comes on Saturday.
