If the semis are on dec 28, doesn't it make sense to have the finals on jan 6?

Anyways, our guys need the extra week than LSU. So it works out great for us.

It's ok. Natty Clemson commercial for two weeks on all ESPN outlets. Drives the coots crazy when they tune in for Ladies Basketball.

Orginally, they planned to play the semis on New Year’s Eve. The turnaround would have been too quick, so they scheduled it on the 13th. When the NYE idea fizzled, they couldn’t or just wouldn’t change the date that they scheduled years back. This delay wasn’t intentional. It was a result of the NYE semis idea not working out.

Because Nick Saban complained there wasn't enough time between the playoffs and the championship game. Seriously.
