We aren't going to bring in a lot of really known coaches...

So go for a guy who knows the area. He was at Furman for 4 years as HC and few more as an assistant. He knows the area very well. The players will get to know him as well as the recruits.
IMO The best known guy they probably could try to bring in is Ed Cooley at Providence which would be a home run hire. Also Travis Steele as Xavier. Would they be interested? I have no idea.
Unless there is a disgruntled well known coach at a power 5 school most likely most candidates would be from the mid major route.

Wow. Lost by 14 points to a 12-9 UNLV. Completely unnacceptable to lose to teams inferior to you. He's obviously not cut out for the big time.
