All of the first four out teams made the same excuse. We should have made the tournament. Three of the four couldn’t make it in the NIT with home court advantage to Las Vegas. Clemson, Oklahoma State and now Vanderbilt. (UNC made the correct choice). Give Brownell a 12 month severance notice. Find a different job before this time next year or you will be unemployed..,,

An athletic director is not judged by a coach he or she hies or fires. An AD is a CEO of a huge corporation with a massive budget, massive facilities and hundred of employees. Whether a few people are shortsighted enough to understand that teams will lose, is far down the list of duties. As far as the NCAA and NIT, any person who knows how to look at a bracket knows that the supposed Top 4 seeds have had a hard time surviving and that happens every year and especially this year.

against a team with a NET ranking in the 230 range.
Similar to the South Carolina, Illinois-Chicago, and Louisville, that loss was inexcusable.
People have to stop justifying and rationalizing Brownell's thirteen years of largely inconsistent and mediocre results, otherwise nothing is going to change.
Clemson deserves better.

Neff made a mistake not waiting until after the season was actually over to make the statements he did prior to the NIT kicking off. Brad pulled the same crap on him that he's pulled on all of us for 13 years now. Once the heat is off and that $$$ secured - just mail it in from there. Brad left Neff dangling out there big time. Hopefully a 'live and learn' moment, though it seemed pretty clear that Neff is okay with where we are considering we sold more tickets last season, a feather in his cap apparently.
