I wish the NCAA would grow up and declare that all TV revenue needs to go to the NCAA, and not to specific conferences. The NCAA should divide the revenue equally or equitably.

The NCAA does not control what schools do and that makes conferences important.

which paved the way for the CFA contract and then ND spurning the CFA and striking their own deal. All this was 30-40 years ago and schools saw the value in letting their conferences negotiate a better deal
