My two cents regarding QB decommitment

Spent some time looking at comments on ND podcasts and message boards regarding Blake Hebert. From their POV, this seems like a bench guy at best. Most say the QB room is packed and he will be a great backup. No one is over the moon about him being a starter. One guy stated he’s a step below Leonard. Had he been a 5 star, I may have been more upset. Could be wrong but I feel like we may have dodged a bullet here. Let’s go find a stud…or buy one?

My story from when we played ND in the Cotton Bowl..."So this lurch ND [expletive deleted for Tnet] in front of me just texted his friend that the game was “smart and rich against stupid and poor” classy
https://www.facebook.com/percy.michael/posts/pfbid0AcJggmB2Cq8kC84jKksDvXZYXbCSL971nPs7LzLoKYyLo2m5tDMyjuvGJZpu2KQVl
ND classiness was not to be outdone, though...
A few days later..."We must have some reputation as bumpkins. At lunch today was a table if Bama fans. They all ordered and when their lunch came they said loudly “you Clemson fans may not know what this is, but this is called steak and lobster” of course they were well on their way toward being too drunk to make it to the game. I wondered what the [expletive deleted for Tnet] Tuscaloosa Alabama has over god’s country? I mean seriously, Alabama is not exactly a bastion of refinement in my experience and I spend a good bit of time in Alabama.
Yeah, the beat down on both was lovely karma.

The fact that you say "Ivy League" instead of specifying means we're likely talking about Cornell, a public school pretending to be elite.

Most hypocritical post of the week after starting a whole thread on cutting down on the infighting and negativity on this site.

There has to be a good HS QB in GA, Fl, Texas that we can get. Those states produce some good HS teams. SEC can't get them all.

The Carollton, GA QB is really good but is a Southern Cal commit. A friend of mine went to last week's game and said seven major schools were there. Not sure if we were one.

I find it puzzling because most ND "pundits" project him as a backup, not a starter.
In either event, glad he's moved on because I was never sold on the guy. He never seemed "all in".

Dabo didn't blink, picked up his chips and wished him a nice life in South Bend on the way out the door.

Makes me laugh. If you’ve never lived around the Great Lakes then you don’t know. It’s 6 months a year with barely any sunshine. The effect of that is cumulative and its much worse than it sounds.

Looks to be a good one! It really is puzzling how Hebert made Clemson hold out on getting a QB because he wanted to be the man. Yet he goes to a program with a crowded QB room and looks to be a backup. Make it make sense.

Would have loved to of seen Clemson sign the QB about 20 miles down at Westside H.S. that committed to S.Carolina. He throws a beautiful ball and I believe at Clemson, he could have one day started. If the S.Carolina curse doesn’t get him, he’ll end up being a good college QB. Guy is just a solid QB

He's in the class of 2025 too. I wouldn't be shocked if Clemson kicked the tires on his chicken commitment.
