While Cagle has pitched in twice as many games, both have pitched over 100 innings. Cagle has one more win but Thompson has the better win percentage and the lower ERA, though you could argue that pitching more or less innings affects the stats. They do keep each other from getting overused as seemed to be the case last year with Valerie.
