of five teams each. Gigantic TV footprint millions and millions of fans. Could be five or more top 12 teams every year.

If the B1G merges with anyone it would probably be the PAC. Always been kind of married to them anyway with the Rose Bowl.

No Team Wants to play on the West Coast Time Zone

East Coast time Zone kickoffs are where people tune in. I don't want to stay up until midnight to watch Ohio State play Oregon State.

An ACC-Big10 Merger makes more sense.


I could see parts of the ACC going to the Big 10 and the other half to the SEC if the league broke up

The rose bowl will be played by the third and 4th place teams in each conference.

If they merge with PAC 12 then ACC is going to be the odd man out.

I don’t think they need to merge, but instead agree to play an out of conference arrangement similar to the deal with ND. This would open up some matchups that have never been played and also bring back some rivalry games with ND and the Big10. They should negotiate with ESPN and Fox to get more money for these games. The viewership would definitely be large with the east half of the country.

I know this is far fetched but could you imagine for one moment if the ACC and Big10 were to join together to make up the new and improved BIG EAST conference?!?!?! I’m sure there would be copyright issues there but having the old North vs South with all those cable viewers would be huge.

Look up the states that would be represented by the ACC and Big merging. Add up the populations of those states, Imagine the TV Network money that would be offered for that newly formed conference. Imagine the money from four or five teams being in the playoff. Imagine the great games and rivalries created. Imagine being King of the Hill instead of wondering who is talking to who about leaving.

Would be nice but will not merge, at least with the present tv contracts. Fox has tv rights
for the Pac 12, Big 10 and Big 8. ESPN has tv rights for sec and acc.

The ACC merging with the SEC and Big 10 with the Pac 12 and a some big 8 schools is more likely
if there are mergers.
