Maybe it was just me...

but I didn't like the 4th down call in OT.

You have the ball 4th and 5. You need 5 yards to extend the game and the play called is a low percentage 25 yard fade to the corner of the end zone.

Get the 5 yards and live to fight another play.

Unbelievably foolish play call IMO particularly with a QB who struggles at times with touch passes.

I do agree with this, But....

the throw was there and I thought Ross's effort was absolutely pathetic.........I thought he could've caught it.

Nonetheless, not a good play call.

That's where you have to have a little delay where the tight end squats down in the middle. Sure, you have to disguise it with eye candy but DJ had time for something to develop.

I had a feeling that was going to happen

That we would forget we could just get the first down there. The 3rd and 4th down plays were bad

down as well. That call just reeked of a certain somebody getting his hands in the offense.

Screw Calford.

What receiver do we have playing who has shown any

ability to create separation and get open in the 5-10 yard window? That's been missing all year, and situations like this, where the objective is to move the chains, is where it has been noticeably different in the offense

DJ had success running the ball.***

That to me would go back to the 3rd down call

they did not view it in hindsight as 2 plays to get 5 yards, as both throws were to the end zone. 3rd and five has been a high percentage play for us for years. Now, without a slot guy who can gain quick separation, it's a real obstacle. Let alone 4th and 5.

Coaches said the 3rd down play was designed to be a swing pass to the RB but he was covered, so maybe they were trying to get the first down on 3rd down. Neither play worked, so we are 2-2

didnt like 3 or 4th down calls

Sep 27, 2021, 12:10 PM

you needed 5 yards and had 2 plays to get it and went for the homerun....twice. Hero or zero and ended up zeros. its not like we were running out of time and it was only going to tie - not a walk-off win.
