Comes out of nowhere this season to win ACC POY after hitting just .214 in 2021. This illustrates to me how disappointing the team's results were. Often when you catch lightning in a bottle with a guy you really expected nothing from it can spark a special year. We had a platoon player come back for his sophomore year and hit.379 with 74 rbis 26 HRs and we're still well below .500 in the conference. That's the kinda thing that happens at BC or Pitt; at Clemson we're supposed to have the program around that kinda player that can take advantage of that good fortune.
