Say what you want, but Lucas is a solid ball striker . . . He shot -4 and still had 6 Holes where makable putts were missed . . . as the morning session wraps up Lucas sits T-13th, which will change drastically as the day progresses . . .

5 birdies and only 1 bogey today so next week is guaranteed and that's all that matters right now.

Only one 3 putt and six 1 putts…I’d hardly call that putting woes.
Looks like he missed a few he should have made, but that’s easy for me to say from behind my screen.

You are so right. Lucas is one of the better ball strikers

out there, but the flat stick has always held him back. On those rare weeks where he really rolls it well, he can win, even to the point of winning a major, like he did at the US Open in 2009. But, more often than not, the flat stick relegates him to "middle of the pack" finishes, or not even making cuts, if the putting woes show up in the first two rounds.

I'm sure his wife will let him know how he played.

Gotterup will definitely bogey seemingly to drop cut to -1 but smotherman has a 11'9" putt on 17 to knock it back to -2. True, he'd still have to play 9 but he has all night/morning to practice that putt.
A lot riding on that putt and the last hole for 2 of our Tigers. We'll know early in the morning.
