anyone who doesn't make irrational, snap judgments based on 6 games (where the issue is obvious), would scoop him up in minute. We're having a difficult year, for OBVIOUS reasons, and folks who aren't as irrational as armchair QB fans, they see Elliott as one of the best assistants in America.

The OL is bad, DJ is bad, the WRs have been bad, and Tony Elliott has not been able to do anything to alleviate these issues. We've seen virtually no offensive improvement over the course of 7 weeks.
This is not a team that's only suffering from poor QB play, and when you have this many talented players all playing poorly its very difficult to not look at the coaches and wonder whether or not they are properly developing these guys. And Tony is 100% a part of that.

The Generational players overcame Elliott and his scheme. Many have had an issue with his offense for several years now. It is not just a 6 game issue.

I disagree, I bet a lot of the mid-level P5 programs would take him. And he actually might make a better HC level exec than a playcaller. Likely not the blue-chippers (say USC) will make him a target but maybe someone like VT-tier would definitely see if he is interested.

Yeah if he can't get his offense full of 4 and 5 star players out of the bottom 5 nationally then he certainly won't be able to achieve anything with anyone else's group of players. He's been exposed as either being a horrible judge of talent or being horrible at developing talent or both.

If that happened and it "ain't gonna " the rightful replacement should be Venables. If not, we would lose Venables and Dabo and we would never win another ACC title, let alone a natty.
I think Urban Meyers would fit in nicely at LSU. I also think Lane Kiffin and Kirby Smart would be called. Smart would turn it down as would Dabo. Kiffin might take it. Jimbo Fisher currently has too good of a deal to take it. My money is on Lane Kiffin.

I dont understand Ogeron being fired or Ogeron when he speaks for that matter. Really midseason firing after beating Fla is curious. I suspect there are issues beyond the team performance on field stuff

Call Dabo and make him say no. You expect him to say no, but what if he says "Maybe"? What is there to lose.
Heck, if I were AD I'd probably call Dabo, Nick, Tony Dungy, and Kirby Smart. I would expect all 4 to say they weren't interested. But, just in case, why not call them anyway?

Jimbo owes Texas A&M NOTHING if he leaves... due to a contract initially negotiated by one of his best friends, the former A&M AD who is now the AD of... you guessed it... LSU. That fact combined with Texas moving to the SEC may be enough for Jimbo to see the LSU job as greener pasture than the A&M job. I think he'd be wrong, but Jimbo is Jimbo and the last 3 LSU coaches have won a National Championship at LSU even though 2 of them weren't that great.
