For the first time in a while my expectations are lowered and am prepared to watch the game and a loss outcome. As a fan I hope I’m wrong and will eat my words but not losing sleep on this game

I did. At that point home crowd was a thing and always felt ND was overrated.

I’ve been here since last year and louaahvul really did it for me. Hope we win em all but I haven’t really seen anything offensively defensively or coaching wise that would lead me to believe we win against a team with a pulse.

Cannot recall players and coaching staff caring less about a game than this year's home Louisville game ... they quit before they started and stayed on quit all game.

The one good thing about losses are that they are generally a good wake-up call - a slap in the face to really get your attention and your focus back to where it needs to be. Hopefully that will be the case Saturday night. Additionally, I don't know that SMU cares about the ACC title. They have no history in the ACC, and after basically getting the boot from their former conference, I don't know that they care much for conferences or their championships. Clemson has the history. We want those titles. It's a preseason goal. If we play our game and not make any stupid mistakes, we can win it.

We were coming off back to back losses, including that very frustrating loss to the coots. The fanbase was very antsy and frustrated. I know I had no hope we would be VT, but sure enough we showed up and proved a point. I could see the same happening here. Just hope we don't have a repeat of that Orange Bowl that followed...yikes.

That Orange Bowl ended up getting us the best DC in the history of our program. Kinda feels like a Orange Bowl type of game may need to happen to get us necessary coaching changes and real wake up calls. Although I really don't want to watch our Tigers get dragged like that ever again.

The thing that excites me is the potential is there to win the game. They can win this game and make a run in the playoffs. I realize things have to really improve but they have a chance.
The talent is there.
