just looked it up and it made it to #16 on charts, while Whiter Shade of Pale made it to #5 (US)

A couple of things invalidate that tag for me...

First, Robin Trower was in PH for a 4 or 5 year run, and maintained loose connections with the group through present day. That alone is a nice rock pedigree. Second, the group still tours and released their last album in 2017. Their discography may not be chock full of 'hits' in the top 40 charts sense, but the band has a solid fan base that knows the music.

One hit wonders typically don't last very long after their one big hit.

The money was easy back in the day, but I just don't have the patience for it anymore. The gigs did pay for all of my PA gear though, and put some extra in my pocket. I guess I'm coming full circle now because I'm getting ready to sell off all the PA and DJ gear. I'm strictly 'Have Bass Will Travel' these days.
