Yep! Enjoying a proper Cold winter for a change. I’m sure the warm weather will be back in Feb but fingers crossed not all of the cold weather was wasted and Mother Nature has at least one more snow up her sleeve for the Piedmont and upstate before it ends.

I used to absolutely hate winter and the cold weather but in my older years I've been enjoying our usual South Carolina mild winters with about a one maybe two weeks of a little colder weather. This winter do seem to be colder than I can remember but I'm enjoying the colder also bc it won't be that much longer before the extremely hot summers that we've been having over the past 6 or 7 years with our dreadful humidity that makes being outside unbearable especially for most of us older folks that will become dehydrated a little quicker it seems than it did when we were younger.
I don't know how it is for all older folks but doesn't feel like after we passed 60-65 that the weather is never to our comfort anymore, or it feels that way for me and I've noticed that I have a little more energy in cooler weather, but it was the other way when I was much younger bc I used to love the summer that seem to be pretty tough on me now. It could be that I've gotten a lot harder to satisfy in my later years

I'm ready for whatever comes as far as the weather. I brough my generator out of my tool building Thursday and ran it for about an hour shut it down and changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, and both spark plugs. If we lose power, I'll be able to supply most of my house with electricity with the exception of my central electric heat, but I do have a 30K BTU gas heater setting in front of the fireplace in my den. Me and the wife will stay warm in our matching Lazy boys watching TV or playing games on our laptops. So, I say bring the bad weather on bc we are ready and prepared for it, I dare it to come

I haven't heard anything about that, but I will say that there's not to much worse than a low life thief that steals what other people have worked hard to have. I've always said those low life's will sleep all day and out all-night stealing bc they are to sorry and trifling to work or hold a job when somebody will hire them without asking them for work references.
I'm dead serious when I say there's not much worse than a sorry S O B that scratches through their worthless life stealing what other people had to worked hard to have!!!

Ok with me. Although I retired correctly. Installed a whole house standby generator with automatic switch. Sweet. Layer in food, adult beverages I’m set in Pendleton.

I know that's the best and easiest way to have backup power, but I had to settle with I could afford
