Leonhard will be a top candidate for Broncos DC if Joseph takes a HC job. That might slow things down or even end them.

Do you know what the NFL pays DCs? Goodwin was paid $1.4 million and a top 10 NFL DC is getting $1.5 million salary.

It’s not always just about money. He wanted back in the NFL and that was just a year ago. Payton will fight hard if he loses Joseph as his DC.

To be fair, and I didn't catch it initially, he did say the "TOP" DCs in the NFL made that kind of money. I was just surprised that in general, DCs in the NFL don't really make that much more than a Top 10 college DC.
Wes would have been 12th in salary on the NFL list.

Eye of the beholder, but I would think anyone in the first five of NFL DCs is considered among the best. I just would have thought a lot of NFL guys would have been making considerably more but really after the Top 3 it falls off pretty dramatically.
For example, the guys at #6 make about half of what the guy at #3 makes.

And the #5 nfl dc makes $2 million. JK said nfl guys make twice what college dc’s make, and you agreed with him. In college ranking, that would put that guy at #7, so no, jk is wrong, as I said.
