I don't feel like sorting through all of the threads. So, can someone tell me why Leonhard and why he wants Clemson and to live the Bills? Appreciate any insight offers?

Has he ever set foot on the Clemson campus?

If so, that would explain everything.

He coaches for the Broncos not Bills. He does not currently hold a dc job. He is linked to Clemson in other ways.

He was the defensive coordinator at Wisconsin for most of the playoff era and put out excellent units every year. He was not given the head coaching job there and now is in the NFL as a DB coach. Clearly his heart is in college football, and is has been highly sought after by NFL and college teams alike

Not sure, but his defense at Wisconsin in 2022

Gave up 52 points to Ohio State, 34 points to Illinois, and 34 points to Michigan State. I watched that Illinois game, and they looked like our defense trying to stop the run. If he is our future DC, I hope he makes me eat crow because I'm not a believer at this time.

You can look at games like that for every single defensive coordinator in college football. Did Nick Saban and Kirby Smart suck when they gave up 40 to us? Look at the whole body of work

Good point. As much as we hype BV, we had some ugly games with him too. The silver lining was the defense performed when it needed to in the final moments to win the game.

In addition, two of those games where right before he took over as interim head coach and one was after. Sounds like it was a tumultuous year. The fact that he is a big part of Sean Payton's coaching staff says a lot. I love the hire if we get it.

Plus from an efficiency standpoint they weee still the number 13 defense. Offense was so bad it made their defense look terrible, couldn’t stay off the field.
Add the fact that he was promoted to interim HC halfway through the season. Finishing the season the way they did, was a feat similar to Dabos first season.
If he’s our guy, I’m over the moon.
