that they had to put his dog Ben down. Having just had to do that myself, it’s so hard and hurts your heart. Prayers for him and his family.

Dang that is heartbreaking. Seemed he was suffering and that is hard to watch as well. No win situation.

I think we are close on that with one of ours. It’s definitely hard. Even harder when your kids are still young.

That'a terrible. Sounds like he had many great years with him. I haven't owned a dog for some time until getting this Golden Doodle four years ago. He's the best dog I've ever had and don't want to think about the day we have to part ways.

I know how it hurts...I have owned many dogs..well six to be exact. One was killed by a car...my schnauzer and two cockers were put down at 13 yr.old. Very tough and heart breaking.I have another cocker that is six and may outlive my wife and I.I would hate to lose this spoiled baby. To ease the pain,i hope Kirk gets another dog.

I saw a clip once - he just got a pup last year and I think there are two other dogs younger than Ben. I enjoy Kirk’s Ben adventures on X. Tough.

That was one lucky pup!

It's one of the toughest things to do. I went through it with our 15-year-old miniature schnauzer (two years ago). Sending up a prayer for Kirk and his family.

Yes, he traveled with Kirk to a lot of the College Game Days, even sat in the broadcast booths with him during the games.

That's the way that it was with me and my baby Boy, if he wasn't welcome anywhere, neither was I. He was well behaved, and he did what I ask him to do without hesitation if he knew what I was telling him to do. What I learn with him, they will continue to learn if their owners will spend just a few minutes to teach them. Mine probably understood as much of the English language as most people that's been in this country for 15 years!!!

Lost my dog a couple of months ago and I still think about him daily. He was the best buddy and dog that ever existed. I am sure most people think that about their own too. They are extremely missed by us dog lovers.

Anyody that has to do that I sincerely feel for you, and all animal lovers have been in my prayers many of times, and especially for those that had to have their best friend put down. Honestly, I still haven't gotten over having to put down my best friend ever in my life. I miss that big boy just as much today as I have since he's been gone. God I loved that boy and there are very few people that I can honestly say shares a place as deep in my heart with him.
