pays John Calipari about $8,000,000.00/year to coach a sport with a total revenue of about $29,000,000.00. The same school pays Mark Stoops about $5,200,000.00/year to coach a sport that brings in a total revenue of $40,000,000.00.
Probably been pointed out before, but it struck me as odd.

Can you imaging trying to sell condos in Myrtle but your building does not have a pool, Bar, ocean view plus the place looks stagnant compared to the other developments around you but you are listing as the same price as the other options? Your manager wants to know why you are not selling more units. You tell him to fix up the place or adjust his expectations. Then you look for a job at one if the other resorts

I’m guessing those numbers are just revenue related to tickets, tv deals, merch, etc and that they don’t account for alumni dollars that each sport is pulling in. That’d probably be hard to figure out. Maybe I’m wrong about all this, but I’d bet uk donors are more interested in basketball.
P.S. mark stoops is tired of babysitting some mickey mouse night club! He’s smart! He’s not dumb! He’s smart and he wants respect!!!!
