from our 2016 Natty winning season. A couple of things stood out slightly different than I remembered them.
1) Wayne Gallman was a lot faster than I remembered him being. Not CJ Spiller fast, but certainly faster than the average running back. I give Wayne props for just being a grinder, and making the absolute most of his opportunities, at Clemson and in the NFL.
2) Our talent at receiver was just nuts. Artavis Scott-UDFA NFL talent. Mike Williams-1st ROUND NFL talent. Jordan Leggett-5th Round NFL talent. Hunter Renfrow-5th Round NFL talent. Deon Cain-6th Round NFL talent.
And, I can't help it. Every time I watch clips of that last drive vs Bama, I STILL think we are going to run out of time. We cut it as close as it could possibly be cut. We cut the hearts out of Bama, just as they had done to us the year before.
Some forget that, although we later BECAME the first modern big college football team to go 15-0 in 2018, we previously had that chance in 2015, before falling to Bama in the Championship Game for our only loss of the 2015 season.
Hunter Renfrow with the casual ball flip to the official after shocking the world with one second left was just the cherry on top of a great big Bama Sundae in the 2016 season. Christian Wilkins doing the split. The passion of Ben Boulware on the podium, shouting "We brought it back home, baby! We brought it back home!"
College football just doesn't get much better than that. Until 2018, that is. Go, Tigers!
"When I was young, I was sure of many things; now there are only two things of which I am sure: one is, that I am a miserable sinner; and the other, that Christ is an all-sufficient Saviour. He is well-taught who learns these two lessons." -John Newton

"As I watched the game yesterday I couldn't help but feel crushed. We beat Furman by 4 TDs, but to me it looked like we got whipped."
"George Bush, we are reliably informed by the media, has the IQ of a moron, though how he matriculated from Yale and Harvard or flew an F-106 will remain an unexplained mystery. Doubtless his father bribed the airplane to fly itself."
