it must be something in the way DJ throws the ball that makes it difficult to catch. Never seen so many drops by so many "4 and 5 stars". Normally, I would say that lack of practice (reps) or just lack of focus but it seems widespread. Same with WR blocking. Ajou is a basketball player on the football field, same as Galloway. Cannot believe this far into the season, he continues to whiff, doesn't look like he even tries to get a hat on anybody. As far as Galloway, hate to see him miss the rest of the year but got to think, after his play this year, he was headed to the scout team.
As far as a positive - James Skalski - he's a warrior. Love his fight and willingness. Great Clemson player who is a true example of maximizing every bit of his talent. Hate to see his career end this way but he's done all that he can to make a difference. Hats off to #47.
Lots of questions with this group, but, perhaps, complacency, lack of offensive leadership as well as questionable coaching and motivating have lead us to where we are. We seem to be too cool for school sometimes. Is it a Cali thing? Who knows but I would love to see some more dawgs on this team, especially along the OL. It's great to be a good citizen and socially aware but give me a couple of nastys upfront.
Play the young uns now and see if they are worth keeping. Youth is great - if they have potential and can realize it. If not, transfer portal time.
Something I noticed even last year. DJ's passes have a wobble to them even if they're thrown accurately to the receiver. Sometimes it looks like they have no spin at all. Trevor's were almost always perfect spirals.
