Early in the year doesn’t mean we got lucky. If Miami had lost before we kicked off yesterday, the emotions on this board would be totally different!

This weekend should have made it very clear that what Dabo always says is exactly right. Week in and week out, winning is not easy. Learning from what causes losses is a huge gift when you can still accomplish your end goals.

We got lucky because, circumstantially, we played only two (2) ACC teams with an overall winning record. Louisville finished 8 - 4 and Pitt finished 7 - 5. Our other 6 ACC opponents had .500 records or else losing records.

In other words, the circumstances led to Clemson playing the arguably weakest conference schedule in the entire ACC this year.

Not our fault that it worked out this way, yet the gaudy offensive stats that we produced this year were all against patsy teams.

SMU game offers a chance at redemption.
