Not Clemson related, but it was announced that DeGrom once again needs Tommy John surgery.

This guy in my opinion has the most dominating stuff since Randy Johnson, and maybe ever. And it kills my heart to see this happen so many times to him. Wishing him the best.

I don't think he's pitched a full season in years...

A big reason the Mets were kind of mum in bringing him back..

He almost signed with my braves...

Glad we didn't now.....

Texas signed him to 5 years $185million this offseason. Everything else is going well for them so far.

He's a modern icarus. Dude was a perennial Cy Young contender and on a HoF pace then decided to crank his fastball up to 102 and his slider to 96 and his health nosedived.

Though I'll disagree on most dominant stuff. That's Pedro through and through. His 2000 season is arguably the greatest pitching season in the history of baseball.

Saw a video of him pitching bullpen in the minors during rehab, and all the minor league pitchers of the team were just all watching him like he was the greatest to ever do it.

Probably a little bit.

It’s just his specific release with the way his arm grew to be in development.

If you’re a pro pitcher, you have people teaching you how to pitch in your personal best version. They don’t teach DeGrom the right and fundamentals ways as much as trying to make him pitch like when he was at his best in his career. So, it’s a risk, but with his tiff you have to let him throw his own natural way. Which has backfired.
