Is this the attitude you want from the Clemson Basketball

Coach? I was just hoping to win two games (in the ACC Tournament). He did not even hint that he wanted to win the ACC tournament. Clemson has NEVER won the ACC Tournament and I would think this would be one of the basketball teams goals every year. Similar to the goals of the football team, win the first game, beat UofSUK and win the conference title. I have never heard the goals of the basketball team year to year.

Goal #1 of the basketball team: Don't cause a ****storm or NCAA attention to the football team.

I will take 10-6 in conference play over 2 wins in greenboro. Why? Because with 10-6 you are dancing. 2 wins in greensboro only means we still lost the tourney.

My goals for the BB team are simple: Above .500 in conference (even Barnes could not keep that going) - strong OOC schedule resulting in 20+ wins for the season. Win in CH. Dance. I won't lose my temper is we are 18-12 and 8-10 every so often just none of that 3-15 crud.

Don't be an embarrassment.


We are all-in for football. Simple as that.

Exactly. You'll hear, we're going to try and compete every game. No real markers for what's success and what isn't.

Never hear about Clemson competing against Clemson. First thing every game... We needed to play better D. Guess what, my 5 yo great grand could come up with that one.

Monte, we need to hit better - duh. Tell me what you're going to do to obtain that goal?

Brad has always been a realist to a fault. It's a short coming as a basketball HC. Oliver Purnell Rick Barnes and Cliff Ellis had a lot of faults here, but they always had ambitions in winning here and admitting it. I really think his teams see that in his meeting and pregame talks, and that is why inconsistency has been such a big problem in his tenure. .

I would love to have a coach who trys to excite the players and fan base that we are going to win in the long run even a lot of that is pep talk.
