I've been sitting here wondering what if Monte pulled one of Dabo's moves and decreased his salary to pay more for better assistants. So, I checked the numbers, of course these are based on base salaries, only info I could find from public info sites. I've also included the loosely based avg of attendance based on pre and post aid numbers. I found them all to be pretty interesting esp Coastal Carolina. It's not just how much $$$ can you give to the players but what kind of salary can you offer asst. coaches. I don't know how these schools relate to CU as far as scholarships or endowment money. These numbers are from 2021.
Clemson Lee $225K Lecroy $159K See $159K Broughton (NA) $32K with no aid / $20K with aid
College of Charleston Holbrook $215K Nichols $99K Dorton (NA) Wondrack (NA) $31K with no aid / $19K with aid
USC Kingston $497K Caillet $210K Parker $200K Wingo (NA) $29K with no aid / $20 with aid
Coastal Carolina Gilmore $412K Schnall $325K Beverlin $120K Schilling (NA) $26K with no aid / $14K with aid

I see the problem with this contract. Too much money up front and not enough tied to incentives.
