Important question

When the Broncos lose to the Bills today does Jim Leonhard fly straight to Clemson from Buffalo, and have someone send his stuff to him from Denver? Does he have a go bag packed special forces style so that they can just drop him into the field and just go straight to work. If anyone out there has a friend of a friend, who stands on the sidelines during Clemson games and has letters in his last name, who could answer that question it would be awesome.

I don't believe that Leonhard will be our DC...it would be
good if he comes here but don't count on it. I believe it
will be a college proven DC...someone that's in the process
of contract talks. My belief is that he is from the Big 10.

My thought was possibly Jeff Hafley as well. Good Defensive coach. Might come back to college if he’s not having to deal with NIL

Your belief describes Leonhard perfectly though. Proven college DC from the Big 10.

Leonhard played in the Big10 but I'm referring to a current
college coach. If not, like someone posted, it could be
the former BC coach.

I am hearing Leonhard. In fairness my sources or source is not 100% on this one.

He spent 5 years as DC at Wisconsin ('17-'22) and the '23 season at Illinois as an Analyst. He only joined the Broncos in February, 2024.

The reality is he is only 1 year removed from 6 straight years of college coaching/analyst in the Big 10.

Here is the procedure.

He flies straight to Clemson.

His wife is in Denver. Her job tomorrow is busy. She meets the movers at there house at 7:30 AM. She goes to her children's schools and withdraws them from school. She returns home and stays with the movers until they leave. She then has to wait on the second mover who will ship their two cars from Denver to Clemson. Then she calls Uber and gets a ride, with her children, to the airport to catch a late flight out of Denver to Atlanta. At that time, about 3 AM tomorrow, she and the children will be met at the airport and flown to Clemson. They will arrive at their hotel room around 5:00 AM. They will get about 5 hours sleep and then put on the Clemson themed clothes that were waiting for them in the hotel room, be whisked away to eat brunch, meet with a few dignitaries (president, AD, mega-boosters) and be ready for a 1:00 AM press conference.

After the press conference, there will be a photo op where the family gets a picture taken at Howard's Rock and the children run down the hill.

The wife has a much longer day than her husband.

No way. We send the jet to gather the wife and kids. This is not some 3rd world college football program.

For you ai junkies. I asked grok between banks, the gt dc and Leonhard who would be the best choice and he said Leonhard. That was last week. So ai thinks he would be the best choice out of those.

He's too busy trying to get Sam Elliot to hook him up with USAA insurance to care about our DC search.

I'm a believer that just about anything can happen, but I think that it's stretching to think or believe that a successful NFL coach will quit his job in the NFL and drop down to the college ranks spending countless hours with recruiting and battling against schools that may have 2,3,4 or 5 times more NIL money than the school that you're recruiting for. I'm not going to say that he wouldn't, but I will say without any doubt whatsoever that if he does, He's in serious need for couch time in a medical building somewhere!!!

Jim Leonhard took a huge cut in pay from 1.5 million a year at Wisconsin to $890,000 a year to coach in the NFL where the talk is that he could be headed to bigger, better coaching positions in the NFL. And the Link below is the man that some are suggesting that Dabo try to lure back down to the college level with probably more money than he's ever made, but when you read what people at the next level says about this Jim Leonhard person, he is well on his way to making more money than Dabo and most college programs could ever afford to pay him. If he stays in the NFL from the way that people brag about this man, in a couple of years he will be making more money with an NFL team than he'll ever make at the college level minus a HCing job at the college level. I don't think that Jim Leonhard will ever coach a day at the college level again unless bad luck kicks him square in the butt...
