I’m so glad that you all

Are perfect in everything you do. Man, I can’t wait to see what we have in store for Saturday. With the continued, relentless, posts of what all is wrong, how to fix it, how to coach DJ, who should and should not play, I’m certain it will all be fixed after this week.
I’m sure our starting QB doesn’t see any of this and won’t be pressing at all. Our O-line will have it all figured out too. TE is going to just pull out Lane’s playbook and say “do this”. And if it doesn’t work, we will just fire everybody and have it all fixed over night….just like Nebraska, Texas, Miami, FSU, Michigan, and USC.

It’s amazing how you all know what’s wrong and the corrections but yet those that have 6 straight CFB playoff appearances, 4 Natty appearance, and 2 championships have suddenly lost their minds.

You all want to laugh at UGA (41 years and still counting ) but you forgot it took us 35. But dang, you struggle just once and we will show you the door if you don’t fix it immediately- and I mean it, immediately.

You are spot on and probably 90% of the negative and "I can fix this" posters probably never played 1 snap of football beyond Rec leagues. It is fun laughing at the posts especially if those people actually believe each of our 22 players are always better than their 22 opponents. There has never been a team that had 22 All Americans on the team.

I don't think anyone here expects perfection.

But many here would like to see a Tiger offense that doesn't rank near the bottom of FBS this year, especially since it was an offense that was supposed to be one of the best in college football based on our talent level.

Many here would also like to see a better game plan, as well as better adjustments, from coaches who are supposedly among the best in college football.

Of course fans don't have the football expertise to know nearly as much as the coaches, which is why it's so ridiculous that we aren't better than we are. If fans can spot it, and come up with ideas on how to fix it, why can't our top paid coaching staff and 4- and 5-star players?

Remember, "Best is the Standard." If you don't like high expectations, take it up with the staff that created these expectations.

I’d like to see all those things too, but do you think it’s ok for our fans to say
- fire TE
- Spiller shouldn’t have been hired.
- criticize DJ (a 1st year starter after 2 generational qb’s)
- etc

This is all down right embarrassing. The expectations to be perfect is an embarrassment. Go back and read the board after every game the last 5 seasons. We didn’t beat this year by enough points. We players Will S to much. Blah blah blah.

Every one of you would walk down the street and run into TE and tell him how great he is, and then run to social media and bash him.

as long as they are within their first amendment rights.

I personally don't think Elliott should be fired right now, nor did I have a problem with Spiller being hired. I think DJ should be granted patience. But each all of these circumstances, criticism is part of being in the limelight in an important position.

I don't know why you are embarrassed. Random fans on the internet don't speak for you, or for Clemson. Look hard enough at every fan base and you will see some crazy opinions from time to time. Don't let it bother you.

We adjusted to win the GT game, and there were no "adjustments" to be had in our last four losses. I gave you the succinct reasons we lost the last 4 games, and yet we still finished #2 , #4, and the jury is still out this year.

Our offense is dysfunctional, and the reason is perfectly clear.

There are no magic playcalls that can correct a mental issue, although using the QB run did seem to loosen him up a little.

If “taking what the defense gives us” is adjusting, then I suppose you are correct.

Unfortunately, our coaching staff admitted that they were totally caught off guard by Georgia Tech’s defense. It took half of the game for any “adjustments” to be made. Even still, we came close to losing the game, and probably would’ve if not for a heroic performance by our defense.

If our QB or line or receivers or any other unit are so bad that we are so severely limited, why is that? Recruiting misses? Poor talent development? Poor game planning?

This is why people are questioning our coaches, despite their track record of incredible success.

Northern Illinois scored more points on Georgia Tech than we did. So did Kennesaw State. Let that sink in.

The staff also had 2 hours to dissect what GT was doing on defense and what adjustments did we get? They clhad time to watch the entire first half to figure it out and if that didn’t work, we have a pretty #### good DC sitting in our locker room that could’ve shed some light. Sheesh.

Um, the adjustments were plain as day.

We ran the ball much more and added the QB run element. We fumbled on one potential scoring drive and missed a 4th down on another, but creating time eating possessions while taking pressure off DJ to make 1st downs with his arm are what won us the game. It was plain to see, I'm not sure how you missed it ??

DJ, 1 called run in 1st half. DJ, 7 called runs in 2nd half.

More team runs, higher percentage of runs, more QB runs in the 2nd half.

Swinney also commented in the post-game that it was an adjustment to more runs and play-action passes due to GT's unexpected defense.

But hey, whatever you say guy.

You aren't making sense.

What do you mean it was unfortunate that the coaches didn't expect GT to play a completely different defense than what was seen on film? Were they supposed to expect that?

They adjusted to what GT was doing, and they adjusted to help a QB still working out his mental game.

When do adjustments normally occur in football? That would be halftime. Doesn't everyone know that? You don't really follow the game of football, do you?

We didn't "come close to losing the game". Getting on onside kick is EXTREMELY rare, and a fumble after a yard gain to end the game were what made it close. Neither of those things had anything to do with coaching.

How many times must we review the UNPRECEDENTED SUCCESS of the football program? Not only in terms of our history, but in the history of the game. So where can anyone possibly suggest silly things like, "recruiting misses", or "player development", or "gameplanning"? That makes no sense. Clemson is in the midst of the best run in our entire history and its rare air in the history of the college game.

The coaching has led us to #2, #1, #4, #1, #2, and #4 finishes in the last six seasons. You've got to be kidding! You cannot possibly understand or follow the game of football very closely to suggest that's not up to "expectations".

Look, yet again, we are struggling right now primarily because of one position. There are no magic plays that can correct the key player's mental issues. Yet again, the same OC you're attempting to demean scored 73 points on GT last year, and it could have been worse. We've routinely beat the snooze out of everyone and scored points to the point of backing off the majority of teams we play. And like I laid out for you a couple times already, NONE of the last four losses can be pinned on playcalling. You have no true counterpoints, so why are you still repeating the same garbage? This has been explained to you several times.

And too, in comparison why do you refuse coaching complaints in basketball? According to you the fact we can't accomplish anything in basketball has nothing to do with coaching. In reality the lack of success has everything to do with coaching! "The buck stops here" as you say.

But football is in a different universe, and its all due to the coach who has built it. We are accomplishing at a level never seen in Clemson football history, and it's a level of sustained success rarely seen in the history of the game. And you want to suddenly question coaching because we have a QB requiring a longer development curve than our last two generational talents? That's 95% of our issue right now. It's not a sudden loss of coaching ability, recruiting, player development, or game-planning. You can't really believe that and claim to understand anything about the game.

If you think the QB is 95% of the issue right now

suggestions in basketball all the time, and we don't accomplish NEARLY as much in basketball either.

You always shoot it down and say fans don't know what they're talking about.

Now you want to question the most successful coaches in Clemson history, the winningest coach (by %) in the game today, and the coaches of one of the best runs in college football modern history.

Yeah okay, you aren't really speaking out both sides of your mouth. Lol.

we’d be thrilled to just have an average offense. I haven’t noticed anyone expecting perfection, although this offense was expected to be one of the best in the country. Reality is they’re one of the worst to this point.

I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a little more productivity from this side of the ball. Heck, we’d be undefeated with just a little more. Our teams’s coach stayed the motto as “Best Is The Standard”.

Do you feel like the offense (players And coaches) have played to the standard?
