against Wake, but did anyone hear or read whether Wake even considered going for the 6 yards to get a first down in the 2nd OT to try to continue the drive? That was an option and there were at least 2 Wake receivers 8 to 10 yards deep from what I saw. It appears Hartman wanted 7 TD passes more.

Clawson said after seeing BT’s 53 yarder, the risk was too high to turn over on downs there. Had it been more like 4th and 2 he would have tried it.

Turn over on downs? They had to make a first down to continue playing.

Oh, on the very last play why throw to the endzone instead of just getting the first down?
I guess he figured he’d get the TD right then or a DPI. Based on how things had been going, it’s hard to blame him. Haven’t replayed it to see if someone was wide open underneath for just the first down.

I thought the question was why they didn’t go for it toward the end of regulation.
