He lived on Wyatt Avenue back behind University Ridge and Earle Street where Groucho's Deli is.
Before they added some new buildings, at the end of the street, there was a wooded drop-off into a creek. He came home after a night of being a bit over-served and forgot to put his car in park. The next morning, his car had rolled down the wooded embankment into the creek.

it was a really nice little used Honda Prelude that his parents just bought for him. Fortunately, there wasn't a whole lot of damage. The bushes and trees that it rolled through just scratched it up a good bit. The towing service charged him something like $250 to pull it out.

I HATE the dial shifters. I have Mopar shifter the most (back to the dashboard minivan days).
When dial shifters started popping and I worked a fleet, this happened more than expected.
I don't know when the seat/weight sensors & the driver door open, why it can automatically apply the parking break. Sure, there will be the exception time (ie a dead vehicle/push) but just let us pull a use to dismantle it.
