then there are only a few things that matter in my opinion:

1)player avg rating - you can only replace what you have room for without defections from the current roster - would like to be a little higher but still right around 15 here and there are about 5 teams within a few decimals of us
2) https://247sports.com/season/2024-football/collegeteamtalentcomposite/ - this which rates at the beginning of each year with what is on your roster to start the season - I suspect we will be very high again next year when this come out prior to the season
3) getting the superstars at key positions - QB, DE, CBs - those are the ones that change gameplans for the opposition. We need another DE starter. QB is ok for next year.
4) Quality commits in the 2 deep across the board but especially the positions mentioned in 3 in case injuries hit. These positions typically have fewer #s so injuries hit harder. This is the area that is most concerning beyond the starting DE above. Particularly at DE but also at QB. The dropoff right now is drastic. This is the area that concerns me most and where the portal will be a necessity for this coming year at DE. I would prefer we look also at atleast just an avg qb that could be more than a clipboardholder like Tyson and compete with CV for the 2 spot even if he doesn’t get it.
