back I read an article that said his valuation was 2.5 million. I have no idea what metrics they used to come up with the info.

NIL is nothing that is anyone's business except the young men and women who receive money. It has been 51 years since I graduated college and you could get a Schlitz for a quarter, but I know all of us were happy when we had a few bucks in our pockets. Students today are no different, the bucks are just bigger so good for any athlete who has NIL money.

You know VB, you’re absolutely right: God bless em’. They need to get all the money they can get…and then some. Nevermind about all that stuff about the nefarious dealings, mid-tier programs not being able to hold onto talent, etc…It’s what the market will bear, right?
BTW- I think the Cleveland Browns need a receiver. Seems like I recall Ohio State had a really good freshmen this year who might as well be a senior. I say that the Browns aught to be able to call that Jeremiah Smith kid right now and offer him more money than OSU can pay to have him come and play one league up in the NFL. How does that sound, VB?

Just pointing out that the House settlement is supposed to have some outside agency (Deloitte?) determine what "fair market value" is.
That may not be as simple as many folks are claiming.
And, my bottom line question is this: The NFL can't control how much money State Farm pays Patrick Mahomes. How can, legally, the NCAA control how much money Allstate pays Arch Manning?

I’m not sure how any of the fair market value works in college athletics. What ROI is one looking to get for 300,000? It’s a joke imo.
