Honestly, UNC & UVA are probably a better fit for B1G...definitely UVA.

Would they be allowed to leave NCSU and VPI twisting in the wind? Those schools are honestly better fits for the SEC.

They want UNC. UNC wants UVA as a partner. Clemson and FSU are sticking together on this as well.

Makes the most sense for them adding two new southern states (NC/Va) to their footprint. Clemson and FSU would add to their inventory of great rivalry games for TV. So many possibilities there.
