If masks work….

as we have been told they do and mandates have been implemented around masks….why are nurses getting fired for not getting vaccinated? They wear a mask 24/7. So explain to me how a masked unvaccinated person hurts a masked vaccinated person.

Also, would you really want someone to work for you if they strongly opposed what you're trying to accomplish. Would you want to hire someone to work in a gun store who opposes the second amendment?

or around a hospital they know what the issue is, and they know how hard it would be to get a bed right now. If the job of a nurse is to get people to be healed and feeling well, adding one more patient to the bed wait list AND taking a hit on the already struggling labor numbers is hurting themselves and their co-workers. So yeah it's kind of dumb to see it first hand and still not understand the importance of it.

But masks work. Right?

So if they have it, they are wearing a mask. So it doesn’t matter. Better yet, when I went into surgery last week, the anesthesiologist double masked, cause he wasn’t vaccinated. I don’t care. I felt safe.

So we all mask and double mask and stay 6ft away. Cause that works. Right? So why worrry.

There are PLENTY of oncologists that question chemotherapy. But they still prescribe it.

But you can't always wear a mask.

My wife who's one of the best people I know about always wearing a mask caught COVID, most likely while eating at a restaurant. Masks only work if everyone's wearing them. If I have one on and you don't and we're nose to nose arguing about flag football, there's still a good chance I could catch it. If we both have them on there's still a slight chance, but it's small.

If any nurse has worked on a COVID unit or in the COVID ward and can see the type of #### are in and watch them dying alone without getting to see their loved ones, and then turn around and say, nah, a shot that's been proven to greatly reduce the chance of this happening isn't worth it then yeah, best of luck to ya. Or again, putting the burden on your fellow co workers while you're not only out of work and putting stress on them there, but adding to what's stressing them out to begin with, the overwhelming patients in the hospital.

Comparing it to chemo is apples and oranges. Chemo is literally putting poison in your body to kill cells, not merely treating the symptoms.

The healthcare industry that tells people to run to the ER if you have a fever? Vaccinated people are dying left and right. If they weren’t, I would agree with you, but they are, so the point is moot.

Crulez gets a positive and almost has a heart attack. Imagine if he wasn’t an educated person and had diabetes. He would be running to the hospital for confirmation that he wasn’t dying. But wait, he tests again and is negative.

What a complete #### show.

No there isn't room anywhere. 95% or whatever the stat is of COVID patients in the hospital are not vaxxed. It's not hard to figure out. Nothing to argue, people aren't waiting for 36 hours because they have a fever. My wife referred to those types as the crazies. Yes they were there pre-COVID, but they went away when COVID came around.

It's free. It's available. It has a great success rate. There's no reason to not get it unless you're a rare case that has some sort of reactions to shots, etc.

No one has ever claimed that masks are 100% effective in preventing the spread of Covid, just as no one has ever claimed that vaccines are 100% effective in preventing infection or serious illness. Same for social distancing. Each does offer though enhanced levels of protection, with vaccines being by far the strongest in preventing hospitalizations and death. Combined they offer our strongest weapon to date in keeping Covid at bay and not overwhelming the health care system, as well as helping our economy stay on track by limiting breakouts and shutdowns.

An unvaccinated healthcare worker wearing a mask is a greater threat to the spread of Covid, especially in environments populated by our most vulnerable, because they are choosing to eliminate a significant portion of the overall efficacy of the tools we have available to cut down on infections. That math is far from rocket science.

typed. The nurse or doc with a mask is no more of a threat than the clerk at the grocery store or the waiter at the table or the flight attendant in a plane. All wearing masks. It’s all ########. They can’t even explain the 2 month waves. But we are expected to believe that nurses with a mask that spend 2-3 minutes with you at a time are a threat?? What happened to 15 minutes. When are you ever with a health care professional for more than 15? Maybe in surgery, which is the most sterile place on earth. It’s all ######## that you have been led to believe.

Yes the nurse is a greater threat. They're already meeting people who are sick, and those are the most susseptible to hospitalization or worse (death). Sure a clerk at a grocery store could infect an elderly person, but if you've almost all the people you're seeing at your job are already sick, having someone there with COVID is like shooting fish in a barrel.

level of understanding.

You seem to be defining "work" as 100% effective in preventing spread. No one of any consequence has ever claimed that masks are 100% effective at preventing spread. The claim has always been that they HELP to limit the spread...or REDUCE the chance of spread.

NOTHING is 100% effective at preventing infection. The whole game is about lessening chances and combining methods that limit the chance of spread and the chance of infection and the chance of serious infection.

Seriously...how can any reasonable person not understand this at this point?!?
