it's that you CANNOT properly evaluate a Brownell-coached team mid-season. I love basketball and want Clemson to have a solid program. The primary thing that Brownell's teams are known for is their INCONSISTENCY. No team plays thes same every game, and we there are bound to be nights that, for whatever reason, you're just off. With Brownell it doesn't seem to matter how much talent he's got, who's healthy, who's injured... you just never know what you're gonna get with this guy. That's why I reserve judgement until the end of the season. We've seen this kind of year before and we know how it almost always ends up - one and done in the ACCT and disappointment and a post-season that's nowhere NEAR as good as the best of the regular season.
Will this year be different? Let's wait and see. History has taught me not to get my hopes up.

Just curious, how much college basketball do you watch outside of Clemson? Based on basketball discussion on this board, it seems that our average Clemson basketball fan rarely watches basketball outside of Clemson.
I'm glad you finally figured out that most basketball teams are inconsistent. It's the nature of the beast.
It's why bozos on this board continue to say that scoring droughts are unique to brownell. Most games have multiple scoring droughts by both teams.
One thing that is extremely consistent with brownell coached teams is the effort that they give day in and day out.

Scoring droughts are a staple of Brownell coached teams. Not sure what could possibly be changed on Brownell's part but wish our opposition would be as generous on going extended minutes without scoring.
No need to argue the point. Some say this is as good as it gets. I call BS but we all have opinions.

Scoring droughts happen to every team.
For example in the UNC vs. WF game last night (did you watch)
- UNC went on a 4 minute scoring drought in first half - UNC did not score in the last 3min and 30 seconds of the first half - Wake went on a 3 minute scoring drought in the first half - Wake didn't score a FG for 4 min and 30 sec in second half - UNC went on a 3 minute scoring drought in second half - Wake went 4 min w/o a FG in second half - Wake went on another 3 min scoring drought towards the end of the second half

Your excuses are lame and nonsensical, Judge.

Clemson basketball, ACC basketball since the days of Skip Wise, Stan Rome and Tree Rollins. I’ve seen great Clemson basketball, I’ve seen shyatty Clemson basketball, and I’ve seen well over a decade now of Brownieball. I’ve watched Bones and Billy call ACC games since the days when Dean Smith, Norm Sloan, Jimmy Valvano, Mike Kroozawoosky and the rest of Tobacco Road ruled NCAA basketball. And I’ve seen enough to know that the only thing we are good at is being unpredictable.

Judge, it's the same nonsense regardless of the handle you use.

Scoring droughts and end of game coaching are why we have an average finish of # 76 during Brad's tenure.
That's freaking pathetic! Especially when the man is collecting the 38th biggest salary in America. Two top 40 finishes in 13 years is a reason TO BE FIRED.
Stop with your nonsense, Judge. Facts are facts. Got anything to say about the facts? Didn't think so.

It doesn't seem to matter who is healthy and who is injured? Comments like these are embarrassing.
Have you looked at our record since chase hunter and brevin Galloway have been out?
What happened last year, when pj ball and hunter Tyson were out?

Please be more specific on the years and players. We do not fall apart "every mid-season due to injuries" We haven't fallen apart because of injuries this year. We are 3-3 since Chase Hunter got injured. He is now not injured.

Does that add up to you, Judge?
