I like the idea of having an in the trenches minded HC but I want the guy calling plays to have a particular knack and experience with that.

I heard Saban say all the playoff teams have skilled players all over the field. He said the team that wins the CFP is the team that is most physical and wins in the trenches. Not rocket science when you get to this level, but it’s interesting what he thinks now we are down to 12 schools.

Saban is Capt Obvious with his statement. Most football games are won in the trenches. A poor D line can make a pedestrian offense look like world beaters and a poor O line can make a talented offense look mediocre to bad.

There's a reason L tackles make the big bucks in the NFL. A QB without that protection is just not gonna be as productive.

Hopefully Nick can bring more insight than that in the upcoming games.

Boy if you guys hate only winning ACC championships and 10 win seasons, you're gonna really hate when you see what Luke's record was like as HC if he takes over
