Still doesn’t think a 2-time national champion coach with a top-5 national roster can win another national championship?
We could just “scare some teams” in the playoffs, according to many analysts.
Yes, these are opinions of sportswriters and analysts, but they’re all saying this.
I just don’t get it.

I definitely think Dabo can win another one for us, but we need to continue to improve on both sides of the ball for it to be this year.

Personally, I think more depth at the DE position would make us a real contender. But I don't see us beating Jawja, TX or Bama or TN right now because we don't really have a that "difference making" RB behind Mafa.

I think we may make some noise in the playoff. There are a lot of things that need to be improved.
However, slight improvements across the board can make this team dangerous.
We need some luck to stay healthy and deep.

Bama struggled against USF, Miami beat USF by 40.
There‘a so many different ways to explain how it would be different in January from basically August. But the pure amount of time between the months should explain how it would be different.

Forget about that one game, rest assure this team is light years ahead after the Georgia game already.
When the belief and proof you can do it on offense is there, and in record breaking fashion, it’s different

I don't think Clemson is a top ten team yet. Still a ways to go. They are a 10 through 20 team right now. Now, if they can get a few things fixed by the end of the season, then who knows?

I believe Saban retired because he was unwilling to pay players coming in the door. Knew that would mean less competitive. Dabo has the same philosophy.

Well the defense stayed elite and the offense fell off a mountain. They weren’t good with DJ, the defense was what kept them in games and won a lot of them.
Now the offense appears to be trending back towards the better years, but the defense looks shaky to me. Especially without Woods. The drop off between starters and backups of drastic compared to the past.
This could be a playoff team, I hope it is, but there is so much improving to do before the thought of winning it all again is valid.
Dabo also hurt himself with all those nepo hires that have been bone breaking. I’m not sure what prompted him to do that. I guess all that success didn’t seem like it could be derailed. But it was.
Overall I’d say he was right last year when he said to buy stock in Clemson. The energy and excitement is making its way back for sure.

Until we beat a couple of teams that have national respect, we aren't going to get the benefit of the doubt. However, we are moving up pretty nicely in the polls with each win, so I'd say there is still a fair amount of respect for our program.

Actually, App State at the time still had some promise. I guess not.
The thing here is we’ve done the best that we possibly could have after Georgia.
We would not beat Georgia right now. Neither if we played them in week 8, week 10, but maybe week 15 when this team has had literally 13 games and however many playoff games included until they’d actually play Georgia again.
That’s a humongous difference dude. That time.
That’s more than enough time to mold a team that already is getting playoff predictions, into a team that CUTS ALL MISTAKES AND BECOMES PERFECT
Yep, Dabo has basically a straight decade of postseason experience and how to get there and through it with a team like this.
