I'm sure I'll get thumbs down and told I'm just an old man yelling at the sky (Though I haven't hit 30 yet, so I don't think I'm considered old) but...
Why does Clemson baseball act like they have conquered the world every time they make it on base? I get it, it's popular now in both MLB and college baseball to do all sorts of weird hand motions and slap your chest every time you get a hit, but man I feel like it would be so much cooler just get a hit and act like you've done it before.

Now do football when they make a tackle like they're supposed to, make a first down like they're supposed to and score a touchdown like they're supposed to. It's ridiculous. It's almost like they're having fun playing a game.

I was always a kid who did his job and didn't celebrate but to each their own. Sports are supposed to be fun so why not have fun when u do something good? Whats it to you?

I'm not saying they have to do or not do anything. I'm just saying in the day we live in where you can't watch a baseball game without seeing players do these things, it would be much cooler to go against the grain and not do them.
I didn't mean for this post to be so directed specifically at Clemson. I watch a lot of baseball and know this is not something unique to Clemson.

Me and my boy cheered loudly for all 22 runs scored by the Tigers yesterday and today. You would’ve hated it. We even went as far as cheering when the Tigers struck out an opposing batter or made a good defensive play.

I’m not saying this to be mean. But you answered your own question. You are just old. I’m 33 and I’m old too. These kids were born in the 2000’s. Somewhere this is what sports have become. To the old school it’s weird. I definitely understand because I feel like I was in the middle. But you watched Clemson scrimmage the Savannah Bananas. Coach EB is going to let the kids have fun. It’s wild to imagine but I assume it does help recruiting. It has to be a fine line. A coach being stern and having rules and a coach letting the kids be kids. I don’t think a coach who chokes the life from the team with strict rules, could sell recruits to come play for him.
