Folks were bragging about how quickly our receivers ran toward Phil to block.
I wonder if anything considered what Phil Mafah though about that. They ran him down too and closed on him just as quickly as they closed on the defenders. I'd be like, "Dang, I thought I was fast!"

that was Wesco, It reminded me of all the the times Higgins met ETN at the Endzone, it has been a while since we have had a receiver that quick.

People have different talents.
Mafah is very quick, but speed for 80 yards is not his thing. Seldom will he need that.
The receivers are much faster over distance as they have different twitch levels in the muscles.
I got slammed for posting this earlier.
Good example is track athletes.
Being a star in the 100 does not mean you can take on all in the 400.
Once the great Edwin Moses said he might move up to the mile. Sebastion Coe was not worried said all the countless miles he had put in counted for something.
Bill Rodgers said no miler would ever be able to beat him in a 10K.
We are born with what we have. Training is what makes some special, but it does not over come Nature.
