I can see these 8 bolting for different conferences sooner rather than later

True. The same talking heads were saying that these super conferences will want to add some “cupcake” teams with decent brands to help their top 6 teams get to the playoffs.

Duke, Louisville, and UNC add basketball ratings while also helping pad the stats of the football powers. Clemson comes in and instantly adds to your potential playoff teams. VaTech, FSU, and Miami are potentially good football brands. Pitt had a strong rivalry with Penn St, and would add a high rating game.

Crazier things have happened.

That would require a coordinated effort between the SEC and BIG and i'm not sure that's possible.
