a little more patient with our Boys of Summer. We have the makings of a stout team, its just going to take some time. Our 1st 4 slots have a .363 batting average and that ain't cream cheese buster.

Jimmy Belanger can't make chicken salad out of chicken $#!T.

He's as good of pitching coach as you can find in the country.

Did he not go 6 innings?

Clayton was the big surprise, as he shut them down for the final 3 innings. We can’t ask for much more from our pitching corp.

They’re starting pitcher (Hopkins???) had a 96mph fastball. His slider and change up were at 87mph. Great stuff, but little control!!! Reminded me of our Askew from last year.

I concur, we are slowly getting better.

much better stuff, and certainly better CONTROL of his stuff, than most of the arms we have on our roster. That's a smacketh in ye olde face, right there.

This is going to take a couple of years. No way around it. Maybe some stout pitching transfers in the offseason and the Tigers make some noise next year but I will start serious expectations in 25.

Offense isn’t the issue. The approach that players are taking at the plate is much improved. They seem to be attacking what is being pitched rather than waiting on “the pitch” has Monte would coach. Consistency with pitching is a glaring issue that must be addressed and will take time. Like many, I got my hopes very high due to commits made by Bakich stating this team was has talented has any team he had at Michigan. Great win tonight though! Hope they can pick up a road win tomorrow.
