I saw your thread about Benny Cunningham and it reminded me of a TE we had just before Benny. Remember John McMakin? He was a pretty good TE too. Third round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers I believe in ‘72. He was on the Steelers first Super Bowl championship team..
I guess you could say Benny replaced him at Clemson and in Pittsburgh. Anyway, last I heard John was a restaurateur in Seattle. He finished his playing days as a Seahawk.
