erryone has approved and it has been through compliance review, the 40 page narrative, proposal, and other 699 files are ready to submit totaling 333 MB.
Let's check it again right now for an error that changes the dollars less than 1% and contemplate updating everything 2 hours before it's due.

It's cost plus

and the change is on a non-fee bearing cost. Add $170K to $400M that isn't fee-bearing that we can't staff at 100% anyways.

Putting together a proposal right now, myself

Nowhere NEAR the values you're working with obviously, but a proposal nonetheless.
My boss gave me a template to work with. Highlighted everything in the RFQ I should be focused on. I put together a bomb proposal. Sent it to him to review.
He told me it was awful and is making me redo the majority of it and change the overall approach of the proposal. Why? Because I focused too much on the items he told me to write about and not enough on the areas of the RFQ he told me NOT to include in our proposal. He even did a solid job of bracketing the items I needed to address. When I asked him about those items I focused on (and I pointed to his handwriting and drawings), he mentioned those items weren't what we should be keying in on.

have a marketing department that does that. Greenr just occasionally updates his resume and occasionally sees his name on Org Charts for projects we are gunning for. BIG CORP is nice to work for sometimes.

and really enjoy being able to put my hand in the pot and help decide what we pursue and what we don't...
But with that being said... I am annoyed as #### about this one because I met all of his points that he wanted me to lay out.. but apparently didn't because he changed his mind after telling me, in detail, exactly what he wanted to see.

Or he is just that type of boss. I have one like that but

it is in a good way and he will admit it. If I have a bombproof plan and take it to him, he will mark something up. He always finds something. It is usually a mistake I made but sometimes I think he just wants to make sure he puts his mark on it. Anyways, I rarely have something that is bombproof and now that I understand that about him, it pisses me off that I messed up more than that he wanted something changed.

in some chickenscratch, then scanned it back to you at a 32 dots-per-inch resolution in black and white. When you received it, some pages were oriented sideways and some were oriented upside down?

I just listened to a vendor who proposed $100 million
Mar 9, 2021, 4:32 PM

to move some of our applications to get out of a colocated datacenter that costs us less than $50K/month to keep the apps there.
That move will pay off in about 166 years.
I'll almost bet our new CIO jumps at it.
