In CF circles and has been for several years now (I introduced him back then to TN) and works his show tirelessly but with knowledge gotten from fans & coaches alike plus travels each week to a game of choosing to be on the sidelines b/4, during and after.
He knows the game and brings it on his show(s) of which YouTube is my choice and has a great national sports corp sponsorship too that has allowed unlimited funds to grow and be able to reach out and see the changing landscape.
Listen in sometime and be a bit wiser for it.

Bret has a solid character which is far above those who talk or write about sports or politics and make their living according to who reads, hears or watches them. Bret's words are not those which draw kneejerk reactions, he is not one to exaggerate or spin something to suit his rhetoric.
I'm not clicking on Pate's website, watching or listing to him berate Clemson. I don't know who Pate is and I don't have any needs to hear someone without Clemson talking about us.
If you go looking for the truth you've already found it within Bret's post.
Don't give that guy the time of day.

The few times I have listened to Josh Pate he seemed like a likeable guy. Maybe he has changed with the growth of his podcast. However, I have been reading Bret's posts for a few years now and I have found him to be very insightful and honest. I think Josh took offense. Nothing more. Bret is a great commenter on TigerNet and I enjoy his posts, but I wouldn't crucify Josh Pate over this rather mildly critical defense of his original comments.

You can go watch the snippet. I stand by my interpretation of it. He was inferring very strongly that the UL loss was not just a one game loss, it signified something much stronger - Clemson would no longer be a national championship contender until major changes were made in the way Dabo runs the program.

I subscribe to his channel and listen to his shows regularly. I don't always agree with everything he says, but he is not a Paul Finebaum or other guy just looking to make rash statements. I don't go to X very often. I'll see if I can respond to him.
