Has the NIL changed the behavior, and appearance of student athletes on campus..

In my days as a student (68-72) some (not all) jocks never went to class or they got preferential treatment from some profs.
In one of my freshman classes, the prof seated students alphabetically. I had the misfortune of sitting behind a 6'11" basketball player that blocked my view of the prof and writing board. Fortunately for me , he only came to class the first day and the day the exam was given. He made a "B". We were allowed only three absences for the semester.
Do they exhibit any signs of their wealth? Expensive cars, flashy attire, Rolex watches, etc.
I'm curious about how the average student perceives them.

Yeah, they went from having new Cameros, Firebirds and Mustangs, to Porsches, McLarens, and Lamborghinis. They blend right in with the "common folk". lol

Yeah they do. I'm a student now and it's kind of insane. Ian Shcieffelin drives around in a purple wrapped Corvette for goodness sakes. I don't really have a problem with it, but at least ACT like your crap stinks which some of them don't. Odd times around here.

My years were slightly ahead of yours, and I remember "the colonel" handing out a sheet of paper with all the ?? and answers for the next test. All we had to do was memorize but many could not do even that much.

The divide between student athletes and regular students is very wide now

The student athletes practically live at their facilities and interact with each other and other sports teams only.
I know a lot of the regular students get pissed off at the student athletes zipping around campus in their motor scooters.

You misunderstand NIL. Of the 400 plus athletes on campus, very, very few receive enough money for anyone to even notice.
