GOR/tv deal

Jul 1, 2022, 5:49 PM

I know Notre Dame did not give up their football GOR like other ACC schools did but wasn’t the TV package re-done when ND agreed to play 5 ACC teams a year ? If that was part of the TV package and ND where to leave would that be grounds to renegotiate TV contract ? Could this be our way out ?
I mean even renegotiating with teams would have probably not increase contract that much but could maybe get it shorten?

Look at the strength of the ACC and tell us why ESPN would rework the deal? As Dabo says, we got what we got and just drive around Clemson and you will see we have enough money.

"The ACC's new grant of rights also automatically extends Notre Dame's contract with the conference as a member in all sports but football through 2035-36, a source said. If the Irish forgo football independence in the next 20 years, they will be contracted to join the ACC."
