month from now.

South Carolina's version of the bill does not go into effect until 2022.

This gives Georgia a VERY big and unfair recruiting advantage for this year. And, given that South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster makes a sloth look supersonic, I don't see that changing. So, we can be prepared to lose major recruits to Georgia in any battle that comes down to us and them, unless their families are independently wealthy, or the kids are inordinately mature.

I hope to be proven wrong on this. :(

You are 100% right as to this.
Players are kids who have never had much $$ of their own.
One thing is this $$ will go to a few and not a team, so that can't be good for moral.
On a fun note, kids in a big market like GT might pull in more than kids at UGA.

Quite a large # of states whose bills don't take affect until 2022. Will be interesting how much the sec's head start will change the landscape because I don't see politicians ever coming to agreement with a national solution.

That's what I thought but most folks think it's 2022 for all. Thanks for clearing this up.
Big advantage for the Bulldogs as a freshman QB is already under an NIL contract.
