The deal Galloway just signed with Shinesty is what NIL should be all about. Galloway was a desirable partner for a company that saw him as a good spokesperson, and they will each benefit from the relationship.
The "Collectives" popping up that are offering large sums of money for a guy to just sign with "School X" take away from the college sports atmosphere. Half of the fun for me when a guy committed to Clemson was that, in my mind, he must have liked Clemson for a lot of the same reasons I decided to go to Clemson.
The day Clemson/Clemson Collectives start bidding on players instead of recruiting on our merits is the day my interest in Clemson athletics will take a major step backwards.
