Never cared for the taste of Jack. I have gotten used to a little higher proof bourbons but that’s just too high.

Besides Jack Daniel’s is not bourbon, it’s Tennessee Whiskey!

Good luck finding a coy hill. They were impossible to find last year around here and I don't expect that to change. I just want to try it for the novelty. I will say the 10 year jack (which is also impossible to find for a price anyone without infinite money would be willing to pay) was pretty good for a jack Daniels product.

I much prefer lower proof bourbon and higher proof rye.

Since the W.L. Weller Special Reserve (90 ABV) can be a little difficult to find, I tend to just go with Evan Williams. Reliable, dirt cheap, doesn't smell like bananas like Old Forester.

If you like the wheated style, Old Elk makes a wheated that's (IIRC) 45% wheat, but it is 92 ABV and (to me) comes off a little hotter, comparable to the Weller Antique.

I tend to go with Rittenhouse for Rye but like the Overholt Bonded well enough - if it isn't as good as the Rittenhouse, it's still a steal. If I want to splurge on rye, I tend to grab a higher-proof bottle from Sagamore Spirits (Baltimore) - though it seems like just about every rye out there starts at MGB. Wild Turkey 101 is pretty good, too.
