When I was 43 saw 'The Stones" in Carter-Finley Stadium. The place was packed tight and loud. It was a magical night. I was there for the Police Olympics (beat all the cops teams from all over NC no matter their age in the 5K).
I went down to the stage (because I could) which was all those high scaffolds and stairs. I was amazed! Mick was "all out" racing up steps to different levels and just being "Mick". The guy was in "incredible" shape (and I know what that is). Make no mistake, this guy is a top level athlete. I bet today at 80 he is still better than I was at 43.
We saw the Stones in Charlotte last year. Mick started off slower than expected but was doing better than you would ever expect a near 80 year old to do. About 30 minutes into the show, he turned it over to Keith Richards for a couple of songs and went backstage. When he came back about 10 minutes later, it was like he was full of jet fuel. He danced and ran around the stage like a 20 something for the rest of the show.
